Google recently announced a significant update to its most
recent search engine algorithm which has been designed to target spam related
search terms such as “pay day loans.”
Leader of Google’s Web-spam team Matt Cutts has announced
that there will be another update soon to follow. Cutts described this to be
part two of the “payday loan update” which could be seen to be updated in the
next few days.
An Independent Search Engine Optimisation specialist from
Waseem Saddique Marketing Services in Birmingham has said “it’s believed that
Google’s second update will target search terms as opposed to Google’s most
recent update which was set up to target spammy websites.”
Cutts also announced that the new update will target queries
such-as [casinos] and [debt consolidation]. He also revealed that the updates
could have an impact on queries which involve counterfeiting although the
update was not intended to do so.
It’s been reported that the initial update from Google was
designed to provide targeted protection against negatively applied SEO.
